Who has not used the popular "meter", i.e. a wooden folding measure? The creation and history of this tool dates back to 1865, when Anton and Franz Ullrich developed its first model, laying the foundations of the company known today as STABILA Messgeräte Gustav Ullrich GmbH.STABILA is today Europe's largest manufacturer of professional measuring tools. The leading position is evidenced by many patents and solutions that have set standards in measuring devices.

It was STABILA that introduced, m.in, the first spirit level libelle made of acrylic plastic and was the first German manufacturer to start producing spirit levels made of light metals. Other well-known innovations are, for example, the unique system of fixing the libella in the body of the spirit levels or fiberglass tape measure.

The company's offer includes such products as folding and rolled measures, spirit levels, electronic levels, rangefinders, optical levels, tripods, rangefinders and laser devices. In total, the program includes more than 600 products intended mainly for users in the construction industry but also industry, crafts and domestic applications. The company also systematically introduces new interesting products and solutions.

The company's headquarters and main production plant are located in Annweiler, Germany. The company employs over 500 people.
